This information is patently untrue about renewable energy sources. The author seems to be willfully unaware of how our power grid works. Yes at an individual site it might not be windy or sunny on a particular day, but taken for the whole grid load becomes much more predictable. Solar, wind and geothermal displace the need for generating power with fossil fuels (which the author readily admits can be ramped up or down depending on need). Working together these power sources can supply uninterrupted (and as green as possible) power distribution.
